Sovereigns' Medal for Volunteering

In June of 2019 Colleen received the news from the Governor General's Office that she was being awarded. The ceremony took place on September 17, 2021 with Governor General Mary May Simon, her husband and the youngest of her 4 daughters.
"It was a proud day for me. In my heart, every person who has ever supported Art for Aid stood there with me."

 

Art for Aid has been volunteer run and fiercely driven since 2013.
